Every safari is tailor-made, but these examples give you a realistic idea of what works well and the budget you may need.

A rough guide to budgeting

Most of our tailor-made Kenya safaris start from around £5,500 per person.

This is normally based on two adults sharing and excludes international flights. The balance of safari and beach nights, travel dates and camp choice all make a material difference.

Safari nights generally cost more than beach nights because they include guiding, activities and park or conservancy fees. The itinerary prices below allow for the listed domestic flights and road transfers. International flights, visas, travel insurance and gratuities are excluded. They are realistic starting points rather than fixed package prices.

The coast has distinct regional weather patterns, so we will recommend the best beach area for your dates. Migration movements and river crossings are natural events and cannot be guaranteed. All prices are illustrative starting points based on two adults sharing and are subject to availability.

What changes the price?

Time of year

July to October, Christmas and New Year are normally the most expensive periods. Travelling outside peak dates can offer excellent value.

Reserve or conservancy

Conservancy fees support lower visitor densities and often include a wider range of activities, but can increase the nightly cost.

How you travel

Domestic flights save time, while private vehicles, family rooms and single supplements all affect the final price.
