In Laikipia, long-established rhino programmes and private or community conservancies protect important habitat. In the Mara ecosystem, conservancy leases create income for landowners while limiting tourism pressure. We favour places where conservation is embedded in the operation rather than presented as a staged guest activity.

Where should we go for a conservation-focused Kenya safari?
Laikipia is a useful starting point for rhino conservation and different private or community conservancy models. The Mara adds another perspective through conservancy tourism. We choose around your interests and the experience available from each camp.
Can we meet rangers or visit conservation projects?
Some camps can discuss these experiences, but access depends on project needs, availability and local arrangements. We check the actual opportunity with the operator and do not promise privileged access as a standard inclusion.
Does conservation tourism guarantee a positive impact?
A label alone is not enough. We look at how the property operates, the habitat it supports and the relationship with local communities. Ask us about the specific camp rather than assume all safari stays work in the same way.
How much should we budget?
Our Maasai Mara & Laikipia example starts from £6,500 per person for 7 nights, based on two adults sharing. This is an illustrative starting point, subject to availability. Dates, rooms, flights, family arrangements and private services affect the final quote. International flights are quoted separately.
How many nights should we allow?
The right length depends on your route and priorities. Allow enough nights to settle into each safari area, and avoid adding a stop simply to cover more ground. Our itinerary pages show the total length and nights in each destination; every example can be adapted.
