Mara Expedition Camp's philosophy is all about treading lightly on the earth. Constructed with green and recycled materials, the entire camp is powered by solar energy. Despite its eco-friendly design, the main areas remain fabulously comfortable, featuring numerous chairs positioned to offer stunning views of the river and its vibrant wildlife. Guests can enjoy a gleaming show kitchen, a cosy dining area for meals, and a welcoming campfire for relaxing evenings.

Accommodation
The camp offers 5 custom-designed tents that blend comfort with adventure. Each tent is adorned with rich furnishings, soft cottons, and eclectic pieces from the past. While the en-suite bathrooms are modest, they provide hot showers, basins with hot and cold running water, and flushing toilets. Private verandas equipped with camping chairs are perfect for an afternoon nap. One of the tents is a 2-bedroom family tent, ideal for groups.

Food & drink
Meals are an important part of the stay and are served in a mixture of communal and private settings, from the main dining area to bush breakfasts, picnics and dinners beneath the stars. Menus use fresh produce and can be adapted for dietary requirements when advised in advance.

What to do
Start your day with an early morning game drive in open 4×4 vehicles to observe the Mara's wildlife during the cool hours, renowned for excellent big cat sightings. Relax during the heat of the day, then embark on an afternoon game drive to witness the wildebeest of the Great Migration. Located on private land, Mara Expedition Camp offers fantastic guided walks. For an additional cost, experience a hot air balloon flight over the Mara, one of Africa's most spectacular experiences.
