Il Moran is the smallest and most intimate of the Governors’ Mara camps, with ten spacious tents beneath the riverine forest. Each has a large bed, Victorian-style bath and private veranda; the camp is best suited to couples and older families seeking a quieter atmosphere.

Meals are an important part of the stay and are served in a mixture of communal and private settings, from the main dining area to bush breakfasts, picnics and dinners beneath the stars. Menus use fresh produce and can be adapted for dietary requirements when advised in advance.
